Hi all,
Thought I'd start a new thread for this one, because it's interesting (and possibly important).
I went looking for places where trofinetide might be used now or in the near future and found....
Earlier this month Rettsyndrome.org announced new research programs it will be funding. (Rettsyndrome.org and its chief scientist Steve Kaminsky are huge supporters of Neuren and trof.)

Scroll down to the bottom and you will find this - a research program investigating trofinetide led by none other than Water Kaufman (another huge Neuren/trof supporter). The research is already underway.
"Drs. Sur, Tropea and Kaufmann are conducting international research to identify biomarkers that can predict an individual's response to either IGF1 or trofinetide. This data will be used in the protocol for the upcoming phase 3 trial of trofinetide and will be pivotal for the FDA’s approval of trofinetide."
Read it here:

Anyone interested in the future of trof should have a read of this as it gives an insight into some of the thinking about the path ahead.
In short, the researchers are looking for biomarkers - this could affect all sorts of things, including 1) FDA approval, 2) scanning patients for suitability, 3) determining dosing 4), adjusting dosing during treatment, 5) measuring outcomes, 6) setting milestones for pharma deals...etc etc
Anyway, have a read - I'd be interested in seeing what others think
