On average I attend 3-4 online meetings per week from my office and sometimes from my mobile with intrastate, interstate and international colleagues ... none of us would get much else done each week if we had to be physically present for these meetings.
The app we use has split screen with all present and the person speaking instantly magnifies on the screen ... it’s more than good enough for face to face meetings.
I suspect much of the pollie travel occurs around weekends and when parliament isn’t sitting.
