I know this is not consensus thinking but if the government were to support NBN in the pending sale, Bill Morrow would have no reason to leave. He would collect a few more million in pay plus walk away with a reputation that the government is on his side.
The fact he threw in the towel indicates that the NBN will take a hit. This is good for telco...but of course the sector is still so unloved.
