For me, 'clean and clear' means enough of a break to suggest some 'intent', but preferably not on excessive volume, just a small increase over previous volumes is best, and perhaps just a little above average volume at the most.
And then see some follow through to help confirm the movement in the following days..........
For Friday (today) something like this below as a minimum (and see below that as an example of an unclear attempt at a break).
