No government likes a RC under their watch so its a bit rich for Labor to say the Liberals were dragged kicking and screaming when their were financial scandals unfolding under their government, Labor and Shorten who was the responsible minister said a RC was not needed but when they are out of government a RC was needed.
We should not a RC to unearth criminals and prosecute we need an ongoing body to deal with cases of wrong doing so they can be dealt with quickly and resolved rather than go on for years until the complainants are bankrupt.
I see some of the media are claiming that the financial institutions acted in the shareholders interest's rather than their clients ,these criminals acted in their own interests I don't think any share holders condone criminal activity and the on going damage to the institutions reputation far out weighs and the small gains in profit.

Logco that is only since they have been caught out by the RC.
Prior to this they had the government in their pocket and were safe.
The shareholders do demand the highest possible dividends and so must accept part of the blame.
