It was PRECISELY those sorts of things that delivered the Global Financial Crisis which in turn led Kevin Rudd's Government to jump in at the deep end to shore up what's now been exposed as Australia's putrid banking system.
Governments have been bending over backward to screw PAYTE taxpayers to the wall, to transfer the tax burden even to the elderly [ie. GST] and even to students [HECS].
After the pause caused by the Labor Years and re-commencing in September 2013, the Coalition set about slashing and burning funding for the ATO and corporate regulators. The ATOs most experienced staff were even waved "Goodbye!" as Australians woke up to the news the ATO had abandoned its $882 Million case against News Ltd.
Australia has degenerated into a truly fascist state and must now endure the pain of repairing its corporate regulatory systems, unpicking problems caused by past administrations and weaning the Coalition of corporate political donations.
