I think the Capex will be in the range of 800 to 850M, yes this is a much smaller plant than Murrin ( iwould think 1 Hpal circuit vs 4 Hpal circuit) the Hpal is the expensive side and also as I said not much refining at sconi vs Murrin. As noexam said transportation costs will be less as Townsville port not that far away.
Also wages are not too bad in QLD projects at the moment, I was watching the last few projects in FNQ (Dugald River and Rio's current bauxite plant in Weipa) and they were only paying just above a award rates not EBA rates like during the boom. Labour rates, flights and accomodation are the biggest costs in building a plant.
Also reading reports from BB they have secured power and water, this means only building black start power capability and no borefields and a substation to recieve grid power (huge saving).
