Comparing 2019 to 1945 .. quite a few Weather charts in 1945 around this time are showing some rain events already over NSW
so for me I am concerned as well.... though yours and others are a brutal reality ..
Slow to kick in? What other forces in play this time around?
I can only suggest in a positive historical sense that sometimes the drier it is that the flip to rainfall is greater.
