From all the materials CAN has put in the world, they don't cite exports as being their biggest slice of forecast sales, do they? From what I have seen, it's all medicinal cannabis related, not rec. I'd hope the Market Cap of ~$418M is justified by the medicinal domestic market alone, let alone exports, let alone rec.
All of that said, once we start talking rec, think of the marketing potential. Sure there is 1000 pallets of Canadian local grown stuff to people to get high on over the weekend. But if there are just 5 pallets of high-grade Australian weed, people are going to want that. By going hard on research, proving the quality of the produce they will grow, they are positioning themselves to have a high degree of control on the product they produce for the export rec market in the future. I think there is value to that boutique flavour. Question is, what are the export tarrifs, and what are the Canadian import tarrifs?
