Ofcourse it’s about having a go, but why not buy one zinc property rather then gearing themselves to their eyeballs when clearly they had no idea.
Its not about jumping in blindly and then blaming others for your stupidity, they were going to reap all the rewards so why shouldn’t the risk also be on them?
If there was no risk then everyone would be doing it.
IMO people should need to speak to a FP or something similar when applying for investment loans or failing that sign a waiver saying they accept full responsibility for the investment choices they make (not for Primary residences but investment properties that is).
To purchase 5 properties on tick and then claim you didn’t understand what you were signing up for is a cop out... they need to take responsibility for their own actions and investment choices.
