Nothing can happen with PEK until the approvals are granted. PEK is possibly fortunate in that it has an element of uniqueness in Tanzania. The government will want to show that they are being active in the sector while wanting to be seen to keep the pressure on the "evil" foreign copper/gold miners. That may result in an opportunity for a rare earth project.
The appointment of the Commissioner this week provides some scope progress with the Special Mining Licence provided there is commitment by the Company. It will be tough but IMO there is potential/possibility for some concessions, be they limited, by the Commission.
But this is unlikely to happen while the "Rocky and Bullwinkle Show" continues to play in West Perth. It needs to hit the road (or plane).
