Some good points and some of your concerns I certainly hold myself.
I mentioned last week that with all the $$$ spent on R & D, if this new prosumer device isn't better than Statsports' product I would be extremely disappointed and it would make me doubt CAT's viability long term.
The reason I think CAT can outdo in relation to other product is that they have purchased companies that already have a strong product. eg- XOS. The next 12-18 months are going to tell the story IMO..the new prosumer product must be a superior product compared to anything else out there and the FY19 release of the new video/tactical product and then internationalizing the product is the other critical piece.
If they hit the spot with these two products then the sky is the limit, if they miss with 1 or both then they will have spend a lot of time, effort and money on products that haven't taken us forward.
High risk, high reward. I love their vision but it is just that...we need to start seeing some of these visions start crystallizing into something other than a great idea.
