That 1.5bn number surprised me and I don't think it's real. Company would have said to journos.... 4m soccer players x 375....you do the math. The company or US soccer don't say it's a 1.5bn deal. BUT it's a massive deal. 6.5k units and puts them in prime position to access the US prosumer market. I thought CAT knocked back the US soccer deal because Stat sports priced it so cheaply that CAT saw no opportunity to make a decent margin. We don't know the inner details but it doesn't look like a deal CAT should have turned their back on. Maybe this was the misstep in the US that caused the personnel changes.
