Buyers have been considerably outweighing sellers in the weeks leading up to this yet the SP had dropped from a month high of $1.43. Then a day after CR released and basically everyone on here is of the opinion this is not good news the SP jumps on good volume. Strange, especially factoring in dilution...Any chance the SP was held down over the past few weeks by the big boys in town (somehow word got out what CAT were planning??). Now the brakes may be off...

I still struggle to see how this CR can be seen as a positive...I naturally have a glass half full mentality and I agree it allows them to aggressively target growth in key areas BUT many have been critical of the rise in spending (staff, marketing, product, R & D etc) over the past few years. Costs have gone up considerably and for 14% growth in H1...

Segment EBITDA in the XOS and elite wearables has dropped from 7.3m (H1 FY17) to 5.7m (H1 FY18).

I believe quite simply that growth in our two key areas hasn't been as strong as they'd hoped (XOS gone backwards) while spending has increased significantly.

Management can try to smooth over this any way they want but the facts are the last two CR's have pocketed them 39m and the only purchase that has been made is the AMS product (2m approx).

I do believe we have good management...I think my points simply highlight the challenging environment CAT work in.
I won't be going anywhere until the new products have been released and given a chance to grow. I love their overall product and opportunity that CAT have in front of them..the next 12-24 months 'should' be very exciting. But given yesterdays CR that was all about targeting growth i'll be expecting much better than a 14% uplift in H1 Fy19...god knows spending will be up.
