Regrets are no good for your health.
As old Frankie said "...regrets I have a few but then again too few to mention.."
You make your decision if you f i u then fix it the best you can and move on.
There are enough stresses in life with making more for ourselves.
Every decision has a cost dlb and we all have to weigh that cost up before and after making it.

I've done a lot for someone of my vintage and given that, my gender.
