The trend amongst the big players like banks and govt is to directly deal with Telstra and Optus etc. they want volume in handsets and data/calls and will not pay retail prices. As I stated earlier the deal my bank has for its staff phones because no one has a desk phone anymore except branch managers and the like is so good because it’s direct to telco and flat priced across the fleet. The bank just pays per handset purchased and it’s no different with BYOD. My iPhone is BYOD and I have never received a bill. The cost savings in dealing direct with Optus are just too juicey.
Now a smaller business who wants to monitor staff calls and accounts for phone usage is the
Target for NOR imho. Because the business can’t get the best deal from a direct to telco relationship. These businesses have people that manage reimbursement to staff for calls made for business etc. so they would benefit of course.
The big players care less about call costs and data because it is so cheap for them. Why have a system in place like NOR to do something that would cost them more than not doing it? Doesn’t make sense at that level.
If you see my meaning.

Do you believe NOR services might be useful in overseas locations but at cheaper prices?
