I have been wondering just where the future of Norwood's business model is headed.

Trying to identify the "niche"which will hopefully bring profits and exponential growth.

And so I sent this email to PO today;

Finding a Niche

Hi Paul

As the years pass , Nor's focus seems to move as well.

Have you identified a real niche for your tech?

Is there something the world wants that Norwood can offer?

So far there seems to be overwhelming competition whichever rabbit burrow you head down.

It must be a very frustrating position to be in,one CR after another,constantly trying to state all the diminishing positives etc

WHEN

All any business wants is Profit

and a simple business model.

The low cost roaming or cheap long distance calls “niche” was destined to eventually have its value eroded away as rooming and long distance tariffs converged with regular local call rates.

We recognised around 18 months ago that this was happening more quickly than we anticipated and so set out to re-position our technology into three core B2B segments : BYOD mobile virtualisation, CRM capture and Compliance Archival Logging.

All are served with the same underlying technology and we are seeing promising market and partner interest in all three segments. The interest from partners in particular driven by the fact that we have a relatively unique and valuable proposition to offer. Veritas, Oracle etc would not be engaging with us if that were not the case.
