Singapore and South Korea, in terms of consumerism is different animals. SK is 10 times bigger than SP in terms of population. However, both countries have one of the world's most dense metropolis in terms of consumer density. Just giving an example, in Seoul if you walk ~10-15 min in any direction you can hope to get a train station (they call it subway as it mostly underground, except the line above Han river). Another example is, if you walk again 10-15 min you will get 10 times bigger Marts they call it e-mart normally 5-10 times bigger than an average size Coles or Woolies.
