Correction and Clarification:
I do not recall COB mgmt writing about Opex and Capex being close to DRC levels. I think Mlives arrived at that conclusion based on his/her research. It is perfectly possible though and the PFS in June will shed light on that if the mgmt does not release info before that. Between processing only 20% of the mined ore + 3 zones within 2km of the proposed processing plant + railway track passing through the tenement and being only 23km from the town Broken hill, the management is gunning for a low Opex of $10-12 and they stated it several times.
@ oddlogic :Based on COB tests results of Nov last year( from feed grade to concentrate the x factor was 5.47), and on the updated resource Annct of this week, the concentrate should be around 0.45 to 0.5% = 4500 to 5000 ppm. The main Glencore mine in DRC released info on Jan 31st and the grades for its proven, measured, indicated and inferred reserves were on average around 0.5% = 5000 ppm . This would show that both Glencore and COB start the expensive part of the ore processing at roughly the same grade of 0.5%.
