So taking a slightly more optimistic view of this last post, we have seen COB rise quickly over the last two weeks and therefore can certainly be expected that new folks are joining in who are not yet familiar with the company. More new investors = more demand = higher price, so I'm happy to chip in to an extent. That being said, asking questions on HC is not research. All need to DYOR before investing.
PPM is just one part of the equation, and although I will admit an important one, you can't take it in isolation. It is important to note the difference between laterite deposits (like ARL, AUZ Sconi) and sulphide deposits (like COB). If it was 900ppm in a laterite ore, I would agree that's to overcome. Sulfide ores offer a significantly lower processing cost/ton which levels the playing with the higher PPM in laterite deposits.
In addition, COB has developed a proprietary processing method to refine the material, estimated cost/ton is in the $10-12 range. See prior announcements, they have tested it all the way to actually producing battery grade cobalt sulfate samples. With where the price of cobalt is the economics start to look very compelling (especially at the low MC), even when you factor in the cheeseburgers. DYOR
