Yeah you only get to intersect it in a few places. Which is why you send the cores away each time. You can but it's freaking massive area and VERY deep. Basically because it sits in this trough there is a chance this play will work otherwise it probably wouldn't. All the talk about how the play might change everything for deep csg is probably probably far fetched as you also need the right trough or circumstance which may well not occur in the same way anywhere else on this little planet.
I wish they gave us plebs more data or something to demonstrate that they were close last time but equipment and setup was the roadblock because I'm not convinced and the whole team changing doesn't give me confidence either.
