It's definitely good news...
I believe the asset value number you're pulling aren't net figures. If you look at the balance sheet rather than the note 7 (at cost) the figures provided in the letter today make sense.
Time frame for realising the majority of value looks like 9-10 months.
TBH I think there's a 30-40% upside for SIV. For today's price you're getting just the hospo business cheap not including any gains from exiting the business.
