Doesn't sound too bad a deal to me, India's still a big buyer of almonds, let alone China.
Price looks pretty good, couple of years ago at $11.00kg was a freak year and obvious the price had to come back, also isn't the $7.75 the starting price.
California had -3c last week, did that do any frost damage to their crop ?
Would have thought the offer last year of $5.85 and rejection by the Board tells a story in itself.
Disclosure: I am not a holder, however certainly would be at today's price if I had any spare loutto $$$
