Surandy, I sometime scan the Spanish language agri news sites, and I noticed that over recent days a couple of these sites have suggested the almond price in Spain has jumped in the past week, and my feeling is that this would probably also be the case for the locally grown variety.

There has been widespread speculation in the media that the EU, China and Canada might impose retaliatory tariffs on US agriculture produce if Trump goes ahead with his proposed steel and aluminium tariffs, and there is some talk that US almonds could get caught up in this. Most US farmers backed Trump in the 2016 election, so US agriculture exports are an obvious target for countries looking to retaliate.
A tariff on US almonds would likely push down the price of US almonds, and prop up the price of almonds produced everywhere else.
