Glencore has a LEADING exposure to COBALT - but that exposure is almost (or totally?) exclusively in the DRC and as is well documented, all companies doing mining business there are having SUBSTANTIAL problems (incl. Glencore, of course).
Moreover, IMHO, Glencore are not "just middle men" but are running many mines worldwide with success. Therefore, they may (or may not) be most interested in diversifying their Cobalt interests by having exposure OUTSIDE of the DRC and that is were CLA would fit the bill, naturally.
IF that would take the form of a take-over or a JV is obviously one thing that would have to be decided between the two parties...
NOTE: The aforementioned 'suggested' issue of a take-over or JV is simply and totally SPECULATIVE thinking and not based on any evidence !!
