A very good article in this morning’s Australian Business on the Lynas QR, including:
‘……Ms Lacaze said the disconnect between the rare-earths prices and market fundamentals had proved trying. “It’s been an ongoing challenge and ongoing frustration that even over a period of time when prices were really punishingly low, demand was still very strong,” she said. “It’s a relatively small market and it can be quite easy to see a distortion in what is perceived as the market price on very small volumes, so I think that the market is still settling into a new equilibrium as we speak.”
and
"prices were really punishingly low, demand was still very strong"
IMO her phrase "new equilibrium" implies a supply/demand balance - and thus that Amanda believes we should see RE values appreciating closer to true economic values.
