The road lighting market is just one reason for my continued investment in TTI.
Its technology for road lights is market-leading with certain capabilities none of their competitors possess and whilst the company's lights cost more up-front than their competitors', the cost of running them is lower along with the associated carbon emissions making it, in theory at least, a no-brainer for authorities.
The market for road lighting in Australia is $240m annually and growing which is 4x what the traffic light market is, so that is an indication of the much bigger and much more lucrative market opportunity for TTI in entering the road lighting market rather than just operating in the traffic light space.
The latest announcement to the market further highlights the potential of the company's traffic controllers whose global potential is massive and there was mention of export markets being opened up for the company's traffic signals and electronic signage businesses as well.
I don't invest in anything I don't think won't increase at least 10x in share price and TTI has all the ingredients to be a much, much bigger company by the end of the decade than what it is today.
I am happy to hold for the long-term and see how things play out going forward.
