May be you have to be there to appreciate the problems involved in fixing the road at this time . The estimate of the length of road underwater of only 150 meters made by posters here seemed to be a huge underestimation to me from the aerial photograph .Due to the angle could have been many times that distance , however only some of it would have been under a meter of water .
Building up the road is not a big deal when it is dry , but much much more difficult and slower with the water there . The tippers may not be able to safely tip their loads and even if they could they would have to back in from the closest point to the water that they can turn around ect ,ect .
It is much easier to fix the road sitting on our bums in front of a keyboard than it would be in the Kimberley .
I feel sure they are doing all they can .
