But 250mm Feb . 30yr Feb avg 105mm
180mm Jan. 30yr Jan avg 125mm
No it is not the all time 30 yr high, it's about 1/2 way there...
I don't take Richards words as gospel post this disappointing result as I stand by my view that transparency if wet weather & lower evaporation rates could hv bn given to market sooner- maybe Jan?
We are reading the same data but interpretation is personal. It's def above average and considering 250mm- how much is that? I'm no meteorologist, maybe someone else can comment but a coastal city like Sydney never got close to 250mm p.m. this yr. Hong Kong, torrential wet sometimes, peaked 400mm last yr. Considering how dry Olaroz is suppose to be, 250mm is pretty darn wet if u ask me. I havent neglected the once in 39yr peak almost 400mm accordingly, but thats literally a river? Lol. Also, the days of cloud due to the rain must be linked to low evaporation for the 3 mths.
Maybe something I v learnt here is that Olaroz is stone dry, but only 9mths of the year!!
Anyway, it's all over & evap rates will only improve from March & precip is going to be almost 0-20mm April....
