You are right; I don’t understand it.

I don’t understand how someone could invest their capital into something and then become skittish and worry about what the company is not telling them.

My biggest holding, representing almost 8% of my net worth is in a company that last year made a total of 5 announcements, including those related to interim and financial results, the AGM, and a share split.

If that company, which is involved in the decidedly unsexy world of distribution of plumbing supplies, came out and announced that it was still selling taps, toilets and pipes, I would be wondering what illicit substances had made their way into the management’s drinking water.

No mistaking it: MSB has to be one of the most fascinating companies listed on the ASX.

I first came across the stock in 2012, I think, and I today have a list of unanswered question so long that it would fill a book. That a company has been going for the better part of two decades, and yet has still not reached its destination, is in itself a bit of an enigma.

I also don’t understand how there can be so much unbridled enthusiasm for a company and what it is doing (and not just by a bunch of online hacks, either, but by some cogent, lucid thinkers who argue their case with balanced and considered conviction), and yet no corporation gets out the partnership chequebook; in fact, 3 take a look under the hood and walk away,

Can I ask a reasonably balanced commentator like yourself why you believe that to be case? Because to me it is yet another unexplained aspect of MSB.
