    In my experience, when company managers put out announcements such as this - which are ...uh... decidedly light on new material information that is relevant - they seldom do so for the sake of it.

    So in your opinion what would the reason be for the announcement if it's not to advise the decision of the DMC to continue the trial with no amendments and of course them not having done it for the 'sake of it' ?
