I've got an account on bauxite index I'd suggest everyone here to do the same, starts on a trial account no cc needed. It's dropped a bit to start the year $50 down to 47/48. They've got shipping rates too which is handy. These are up over last year with the rise in oil. I'd say that the Chinese shutdown and large stockpiles before winter has created a lag in bauxite. I'm expecting a steady rise. On bauxite index you can enter the silica content to check your real price MMI comes in around 43. The xinfa offtake is above market though, I'm not in front of my computer but I believe it's 61. Blend the price deck for xinfa tonnes and normal price and it's quite nice. All dollars are USD, so a drop in Aussie helps a lot.
