Very disappointing that the cash balance wasn’t reported with their quarterly report in the first instance. You can imagine the company secretary scrambling around to get it approved and released to the market.
And they could have jumped the gun regarding stopping the cash report so soon. Normally you do it after 4 straight quarters of positive operating cash flow.
We are owed another 2 5Bs if that’s the case, as GXY became operating cash positive from the September quarter.
Just from experience, just because a company is in the top ASX 200 or 100, doesn’t mean that they always meet compliance requirements. Or that their staff work harmoniously and cooperatively amongst one another, as mistakes do occur. That’s another task for AT to ensure that they do.
Overall this quarterly was poorly written. I’m trying to reference whether a quarterly production report is an ASX requirement as practically all mining companies release one even when a 5B is no longer required.
It’ll really suck if they stopped all quarterlies going forward.
