@Radar100 - I looked into some of those suggestions previously and found:

1. DMC already offer discounts for longer term rentals. I think there was a 3 months discount and a 6 month discount, or a 6 months discount and 12 month discount (you see this in searching for cars based on longer periods. I don't know that they actually promote it though.

But I think the bigger issue is flexibility of booking so reducing the commitments. I reckon this is more important than cheaper long term commitments, so don't think this would help.

2. This is a good idea, but I think would be hard to track and less likely to occur. I reckon a smaller incentive say $100 for someone who rents for 1 month would be a better scenario. Not sure if they offer referral benefits, but suspect they probably do, as they have used affiliate marketing channels before and the coding setup is the same.

3. I had looked at this one as I thought there was a general business opportunity in this space, but I don't think Uber actually allow you to do this.

I had previously asked Chris about the whole stickers on cars thing for marketing. DMC does have some stickers on cars, but generally the owners and drivers don't like this. It isn't like a short term rental where you don't car. The average rental period is 34 days (per AGM presentation), so people are driving the cars longer term, and the drivers don't want to advertise that they are driving a rental car.

It would be worth working out how much of a discount would DMC need to provide to get people to have a sticker and then assess if it was worth it (and make sure the stickers stayed on the whole time).
