I served as an altar boy when the Pope came to town. Well, stretching it a little but way back then he was known as Cardinal John Paul the second and he performed a service in Richmond with me and another five hommies. Then he became the most loved Pope for a century. Not too shabby. I do mention that my son was in the same basketball team as Ben Simmons but I reckon I get more cudos. A mate had a soccer coach in Ferntree Gully and whenever Pele comes to Melbourne, he picks him up from the airport and he stays with him. Not too shabby either.
