Once upon a time we developed a great product and sensibly, so we thought, spoke to the consultant types who said "yeah mate, easy-peasy. No worries. You'll be in like Flynn." So we hit the ground running, all excited like, then ran into a wise, salt of the earth Bentony fellow. He said "Yeah nah cobba" and kindly explained the reality of the situation to us.
We regrouped, doubled down, and hit the road again. And were caught in hurricanes and blizzards and bureaucratic quagmires oh my!
The interest had become nibbles though so we doubled down again And went with cap in hand because we could see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The nibbles started turning into a trickle but the murmuring had begun. We tried to ignore it but some who had once done well when we were all excited and had thought we were relatively valuable even started yelling abuse at us, but we put that down to jealousy and kept trudging down the road.
We decided to send out a proclamation. We humbly admitted the barriers were higher than we were led to believe but pointed out that the hard bit was behind us and that that light was growing bigger and advised our mates to buy some good quality sunglasses.
It didn't seem to stop the murmuring of people mad at themselves for neglecting basic safety precautions in case of bad weather but it certainly reassured the fools like us that dare to dream.
