Has anybody thought of the effect of the amalgamation of the left wing unions AMFEU, the maratime Union and the Textile Workers Union.I would imagine that these would all be currently clients of SGH and the appointment of another legal firm could seriously damage sgh 's customer base.
The other thought I have concerns the creeping provisions of the Takeover Law. As I understand it Anchorage could approach the court and apply for approval to compulsorily acquire the rump. I have not looked it up but I think they have to apply within 12 months of them acquiring the 95%. I still think it would suit them to take it private. The Slater and Gordon good name is the important thing not the fact that it is publically listed.
