My point, which I'd have thought was obvious, is that he hasn't brought any growth to Norwood. If anything, there's been a big decline though that's mostly associated with WP.
Starting now with WS and WW (well, half of it anyway) will show the truth of his skills in signing REAL and immediately revenue-bearing contracts. None of the fluff mentioned in the past of 'we are speaking to every company in the world and extremely satisified, as they are, with the progress being achieved which may lead towards potential multi-million dollar contracts'. NO, sorry mate that doesn't wash any more and the Market sees it in exactly the same way despite claims of manipulation in the sp.
He has patenting protection in place and there was never anything stopping him from out-licencing the tech - especially WP since it began it's decline in users.
He's clearly got worldwide contacts throughout his career, as defined by having 3Com claim a 35% worldwide capture with himself at the helm of marketing there.
So yes, with respect to your question, I do view it as a negative when his past performance was covered in glory but not carried through to the present.
