This sale of FL combined with the rights to operate the OSMR process at FL is not the first such deal done by LNG Ltd in relation to OSMR. LNG Ltd, some years ago, also did a deal for the rights to use the OSMR technology with OBL (Oil Basins Ltd) - now Emperor Energy Ltd (EMP) - in relation to their prospective gas deposit in the Canning Basin of WA, but I don't know if it survived the change in ownership and BOD changes.
Investing at the small end of the market with resources stocks is inherently uncertain and risky and so one needs to build a portfolio to suits one's own cash resources, expected cash flow, appetite for risk and uncertainty, stage in life and expected call on those funds in the future. These are very personal decisions, no two people are the same and no-one can really advise what will best suit each individual. One just has to work it out for oneself over time. Thus , I find it very frustrating reading those who just want to knock and denigrate the BOD and management of each company they follow or invest in, e.g. LNG, and blame them for what may bea poorly conceived investment decisions in the first place by and for that individual investor.
In LNG's case, it may not have occurred to some others hear, but the fantastic opportunity presented by LNG Ltd at its current stage of development are due entirely to the leadership and hard work both of MB and his chosen team at the entrepreneurial stage; and more recently by GV and his chosen team who have diligently, meticulously and painstakingly moved LNG along through the detailed engineering design, approvals, funding, construction contract establishment phase although market conditions have not been favourable for the last three years for the BTA stage. Sure, the share price is down over the exuberance driven heights of a couple of years ago, but this sort of volatility is not unusual with early stage resource industry developments and is often referred to as the "valley of death" stage in an emerging company's history early. The strong and determined ones with a godd business plan tend to get through this phase and I am betting so will LNG Ltd.
I, for one, having been in and around the resources industry and being close to early stage development of ambitious projects for the better part of 40 years, greatly appreciate the dedication, commitment, determination, imagination, innovation, detailed work and hard graft shown by LNG Ltd's two successive management teams to get the company to its current stage of readiness. It is clear that the LNG markets are now starting to change in LNG Ltd's favour and that LNG Ltd is well placed to capitalise on the favourable position they have created for it thus far.
The difficult early stage enterprise development path, they have so far successfully navigated, is not dissimilar to that experienced by the early players in many other sectors of the resources industries. In this case with breakthrough technology and design for low-cost mid-scale LNG production.
For those that constantly moan and whinge: for your health's sake, and for the reading sake of others here, I respectfully suggest that you find some other investments that are lower risk, with lesser challenges and uncertainty and that are more predictable in the short term and suited to your individual risk profile, temperament, understanding and attention span before you go and blow a poofoo valve. If you are just trolling, then please go away and be miserable and spread your bile somewhere else.
