I am sure they have accounted for any downtime in their OEE and breakeven analysis. Nothing is fullproof and will stop from time to time, however, almost all automation will have a GR&R (gage repeatability and reproducibility) process with main failure points already known and have any single point of failure mitigated or fast recovery technique.
