Not at the buying stage myself (delayed many a year thanks to a young mind and a long distance relationship - made complete sense at the time!!) but it doesn't take a genius to see housing developments have taken a drastic turn for profit maximisation. Every house on my folk's street and the surrounding streets in Perth is an 800-900m2 block, which they picked up for about 17K house and land 30 years ago. Seems to be is something unique about each one too. But every new development I've seen in oz has the same characteristics: identical houses, 300-400 average sized blocks and NO TREES. Flatten the land, cram em in and let's try cover the extra 2 mil we had to pay for the market garden in the first street or two. Sucks the joy out of owning a new build when you don't know which house is yours entering the street but probably the best time for a HX to appear
