Hey cujo, we know we have gold, the big question is how much did the old timers leave behind for GTE to discover with modern technology?
From the Bronzewing and Jundee deposit similarities and signature comparisons, it could be quite a lot.
The structural setting at May Queen is superb with numerous crustal faults and fractures for hydrothermal fluids and minerals to rise and flow under pressure. The central section with its numerous fractures, stresses, strains and distortions is clearly the focus of the drill targets.
Figures 2 and 3 of the Announcement show superimposed aeromagnetic data and soil sampling survey results for this central zone and are worth showing at a larger scale.
Fig 2 shows the NW deep crustal faults, lineaments and shear zones extending from the Bronzewing deposit, the two WNW Pluton Dykes and best of all multiple NE orientated Quartz Veins. The old May Queen mine shaft is not shown but by eye appears to sit between the two uppermost NE trending QuartzVeins.
Fig 3 shows the high gold in soil results in this central zone.
With good fortune that central zone will be the G (g for gold) Spot for GTE
