    you can't possibly draw that conclusion from anything announced or that's transpired over the past 3 months. In fact China's recent (2nd) trip to Tz - which is a big deal for them, with State-level approvals, cost of taking a delegation over there, reputations on the line etc - in my mind cemented their interest in the project.

    Our problem has been only one bidder at the auction. The Chinese have been carrying on like they have an option over Chilalo, to exercise when it suits them. But to be fair to the Chinese, this deal would most likely have been done back in Aug/Sept last year (there were financing Plan Bs in the wings then to amp up the pressure on the Chinese) if Tz didn't rip up the rule book, and here we are 8-9 months later and the Tz bureaucrats are still playing musical chairs - though the music is supposed to stop this month with the new Mining Commission becoming functional - HOPEFULLY capable of making some decisions.

    Anyway, now we have a real auction in progress, which usually means the seller gets the best deal possible.
