That they are raising cash now for grid connection and cabling, suggests that they are upgrading what was originally planned.

Perhaps this is in preparation for a much bigger microgrid to meet much greater demands?

The Garden Island Navy Base and the Australian Marine Centre at nearby Henderson are key defence facilities.  New contracts have been awarded to AMC since the GI microgrid began construction.  It is possible that the original infrastructure will not be enough.

The Australian Marine Centre is another of those facilities that comes under JTSI, as do the Strategic Industrial Areas at Mungari and Kemerton.
