This, from ASX 6/12/17:
----
Slater and Gordon Ltd (ASX:SGH) (“the Company”) advises that following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today, Mr Hayden Stephens, CEO Australia has been elected and appointed as an Executive Director, effective immediately. Mr Stephens is appointed as the Legal Practitioner Director under the Legal Profession Act 2017 (Victoria) and equivalent provisions in the jurisdictions in which the Company conducts legal practices.
With Stephens departing as CEO - with last week's share sales, very likely he is in his final few weeks, it is doubtful that he would then remain on the Board (that is, retain any continuing tie to the business). If so, then who will be the replacement Legal Practitioner Director? None of the other Board members would seem to satisfy this requirement. Or does it no longer matter? Maybe, Kirsten Morrison will be appointed. She is already the General Counsel and Company secretary and arguably, the longest serving, remaining SGH executive.
