What I find (this is based off of myself and I'm a different person to you Charles) is that selling a little bit and buying some of another is sometimes good. Or just selling some and still having a position and leaving the rest in cash and just letting myself cooldown sometimes works well.
The biggest thing with investing is controlling one's emotion. Not making rash decisions.
If the position size makes you feel like your panicing and don't know what to do. Maybe the position size itself is just too big. I dunno, you really have to search your own soul and find what works best for you.
