Whats the focus on cloud in this thread?
Can anyone point out where it said Data Exchange was a cloud provider or why this company is being compared to a cloud provider?
Aren't they only providing data centre services (power, cooling, rack space) similar to CDC or Global switch? if anything they would look for T4 certification.
There is no need for them to seek protected cloud certification like Azure or AWS are, who are finalising with ASD as we speak. Data Exchange aren't in the business of providing firewalls, san, virtualisation etc.
There is plenty of business for Data Exchange, such as traditional data centre halls for content above PROTECTED (and below) if your worried about 'everyone' moving to cloud based services at MS or Amazon.
Just look at Chinese dealings with Global switch. Im sure Defence will be keen to move somewhere else soon. Azure/AWS isn't rated for Secret or TS.
