I suppose in the future, if there is chitter chatter about one brokerage and you suspect that a cash raise is coming, it would be wise to register with them as a sophisticated investor in anticipation of the cash raise. Of course it might never happen and you end up wasting a lot of time filling in paper work. Wouldn't it make sense to have a centralised platform to do cash raises from sophisticated investors. That way, you have a much wider audience and could probably get more per share.
