@leains - The scenario you mooted are true if You are assuming that IBG is a Fortescue or bhp with high liquidity flow.
This is likely funded by many sophisticated investors, family trusts or private super funds.
Patterson’s would have likely sounded the market when they publish their broker research a month or two ago to drum up interest.
But again this is not a small amount of money to raise. Patterson’s brokers wouldn’t have risked their reputation on some crummy deal or a quick pip sized flipping.
So let’s wait and see
