The history has been with a surface technology that has yet to prove any commercial benefit. Yes there's new blood in the business, and yes, it's a new application, but for peeps like me who have been following for years I've heard all about how much it improves results while reducing cost and manufacturers cant do without us.
That's not to say I don't want the company to succeed; I do, I'm just still highly skeptical until the ink is dry on some irrefutable (and more importantly commercial) announcements. We've been "perilously" close to major deals many times with nothing to show for it.
